Find X10: a smaller body with serious cameras

With its 6.59-inch display, the Find X10 takes up less space in your hand and pocket than the Pro Max. That is a clear everyday advantage if size matters to you. At approximately 216g, however, it is still a substantial phone rather than a lightweight compact. [1]

Its main and telephoto cameras each have 200MP sensors, alongside a 50MP ultrawide. This makes a versatile setup for family pictures, travel details and portraits. Our assessment: if you mainly use the main camera and moderate zoom, the standard model deserves a place on your shortlist. Megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality. [1]

Find X10 Pro Max: more reasons for camera enthusiasts

The Pro Max adds a 200MP ultrawide camera and a 3× optical telephoto lens. Its main camera has an f/1.5 aperture, while the telephoto is f/2.1. These are attractive hardware features if you often switch lenses, although results still depend on processing, lighting and subject movement. [2]

Video provides another distinction. OPPO specifies 4K at 120fps and 8K at 30fps across all three rear cameras on the Pro Max. On the Find X10, those modes are available on the main and telephoto cameras; the ultrawide supports up to 4K at 60fps. Available recording combinations depend on your settings. [7]

Our assessment: consider the Pro Max if you will actually use its ultrawide and advanced video capabilities. Extra resolution may matter less when most of your photos are shared through messaging apps.

Display and speed: consider the size first

Both phones offer adaptive refresh rates from 1 to 120Hz. The advertised 144Hz is restricted to certain games. The Pro Max gives you more room for video and photo editing; the Find X10 better suits a routine built around frequent one-handed use. Different processors do not mean that every ordinary task must feel noticeably faster on the Pro Max. [1, 2]

Battery: 8,000mAh, with a regional distinction

Both Chinese versions have a typical battery capacity of 8,000mAh; the European versions have 7,150mAh. Check the exact regional version when comparing listings. Both support up to 80W wired and 50W wireless charging with compatible equipment. Maximum power is not sustained throughout the charging cycle. [1, 2, 3, 8]

PhoneArena tested the global Pro Max with an 8,000mAh battery. Its results table lists the figures below. These are separate tests, not durations to add together. [4]

PhoneArena Pro Max 8000mAh results: browsing 21h 35min, video 13h 36min and 3D gaming 13h 38min.
Web: 21 h 35 min · Video: 13 h 36 min · 3D gaming: 13 h 38 min. Results apply to the tested global Pro Max with 8,000mAh. They are not measurements of the Find X10, the European 7,150mAh Pro Max or Chinese firmware. Actual endurance depends on usage, signal and settings. [4]

Before buying: China ROM and network support

The Find X10 lacks LTE Band 20 (800MHz); the Pro Max supports it. For use in Germany, this may matter more than the camera difference. Missing this band can limit coverage depending on your network and location. Check compatibility with your operator before ordering. [1, 2, 5, 6]

The supplier lists Google Play, Android Auto and German and English system languages for both Chinese versions. Croatian is not listed, and eSIM is not supported. ColorOS 17 and regional features may differ from European software. Check the specific version against any apps you depend on. [5, 6]

Which would we choose?

Find X10: our pick for a buyer who prefers a smaller body, mainly uses the main and telephoto cameras, and has confirmed that missing LTE Band 20 is acceptable.

Find X10 Pro Max: our pick for more demanding photography and video, a larger display and Band 20 support. Allow for the larger body and extra weight.

For a buyer in Germany, we suggest starting with network compatibility, then comparing prices for the same memory configuration. Paying extra for the Pro Max makes sense when you will use its particular advantages.
